Web Design Apprentice
Logical Media Group / The Ocean Agency
As of September 2017, I work as a web design apprentice at Logical Media Group. As part of the web team, I assist the lead designers in creating WordPress websites for a wide range of clients. My tasks include creating sitemaps, wireframes, page creation and design, image optimization, content entry, executing client revisions, as well as assisting the email marketing team.
DePaul Study Abroad
From March to September of 2017, I worked as a peer advisor for DePaul Study Abroad. As part of the Marketing team, I created promotional videos, updated the study abroad website (including redesigning program pages), represented the study abroad team at promotional events, and designed promotional flyers. I was also in charge of running the DePaul SoJournal, which is a blog for the Study Abroad team that allows students to write about their experiences abroad.
Web Designer – Contract Worker
In the summer of 2017, I worked as contractor for Antonelli Law to redesign their website. Along with the redesign, I helped migrate their website from GoDaddy to AT&T. I also redesigned two of the firm’s blogs, their Drone Laws and Torrent Defenders blogs, which are also designed using WordPress.
Antonelli Law represents businesses and individuals nationwide who are accused of copyright infringement using file-sharing software, such as BitTorrent, to download movies, music, and software by copyright owners. They also prosecute claims of educational fraud against for-profit colleges for select cases.
I was an intern at the new startup company Cloud Conformity from September 2016 to November 2016 during my time studying abroad in Sydney, Australia. Cloud Conformity is an agent-less, continuous assurance SaaS (Software as a Service) solution that checks your Amazon Web Services infrastructure against the five pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework: Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Operational Excellence and Cost Optimization. They highlight violations of AWS best practices and provide step-by-step resolution guides.
Founded only a few months before I arrived, the Cloud Conformity team had a variety of tasks for me to complete. My list of tasks included creating email templates for the Cloud Conformity team, constructing a competitive analysis to inform the team how they measured up against the opposition, as well as critiquing the rules page on the company website prior to the launch date.
Eli Lilly and Company
Over the summer of 2016, I worked with the IT Project Management team at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, Indiana. During my time as a summer replacement, I created training materials for the IT Project Management Services organization. These training materials included instructor notes, videos, and a “how-to” guide to introduce new project managers to the tools and processes used at Lilly.
Additionally, while collaborating with the Global Product Launch Advisor, I created a “Launch Story” in support of the Global Launch Project Management services to highlight the services provided by the organization.
